FAQ

Questions about Biohost file sharing.

Answers to common questions about anonymous uploads, temporary file links, password protection, upload limits, file expiry, and abuse reporting.

General questions

Can I upload files without creating an account?

Yes. Biohost supports anonymous file uploads, so you can upload a file and get a shareable link without registering.

How long do anonymous uploads stay online?

Anonymous uploads are temporary and expire automatically. The current expiry window is shown on the upload page before you upload.

Can I password protect a file?

Yes. The upload form includes an optional password field. If you set a password, visitors must provide it before downloading the file.

What file size can I upload?

The active upload limit is shown on the homepage. Registered accounts can have a higher limit than anonymous visitors.

Are uploaded files private?

Biohost file links are unlisted, but anyone with the link can access an unprotected file. Use password protection for links that should not be openly viewable.

Can I delete files after uploading?

Registered users can manage uploaded files from their dashboard. Anonymous uploads expire automatically.

What happens if a file is reported?

Reports are reviewed by the admin team. Files that violate the Terms of Service or abuse policy can be removed.
